Interim general manager Kevin Abrams and interim coach Steve Spagnuolo informed him of the suspension."We have suspended Eli for a pattern of behavior that is conduct detrimental to the team," Abrams said.Collins never referred to Apple, the Giants' first-round draft pick in 2016, by name in a radio interview on Tuesday. He and Apple met separately with Spagnuolo and then all three talked.Collins was not in the locker room after practice. Apple was inactive for four consecutive games, from Nov. 19 to Dec. 10. He returned to action against Philadelphia on Dec. 17 and had a team-high nine tackles (seven solo).Despite playing well against the Eagles, Apple only played on special teams last week. Brandon Dixon and Ross Cockrell each played all 68 defensive snaps at cornerback."The way the practices went last week Youth Michael Dickson Jersey , we felt that the two guys that we played practiced better with the group and that's why we went in that direction," Spagnuolo said. Tramon Williams is returning to the Green Bay Packers to help replenish the secondary.

The team signed the free agent cornerback on Friday. The 11-year veteran spent the first eight seasons of his career in Green Bay, intercepting 28 passes in 127 games including 99 starts.

Williams played last season with Arizona after spending two years in Cleveland. New Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine was coach of the Browns in Williams' first year in Cleveland in 2015.

Williams, who turned 35 last week James Washington Jersey Steelers , was a respected locker room presence when he left Green Bay in 2014. He returns to help mentor a cornerback position that struggled through an injury-filled season in 2017.

Green Bay may still be looking for cornerback help in the draft or free agency.

Last year's first-round draft pick, Kevin King, showed flashes of promise but his season ended in December because of a shoulder injury. Veteran Davon House is a free agent.

Damarious Randall was traded to the Cleveland Browns in a deal that brought backup quarterback DeShone Kizer to Green Bay.

A 15-game starter as a rookie last season for the winless Browns, Kizer said he was surprised he was dealt away. He threw a league-high 22 interceptions Dolphins Durham Smythe Jersey , but showed signs of improvement late in the season.

Now Kizer gets a chance to learn under Packers starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and potentially compete for the backup job with Brett Hundley.

"I think it's going to be an awesome opportunity to take a step back and learn from (coach Mike McCarthy and offensive coordinator Joe Philbin) and be around some great competitors and get back to winning the way I know how," Kizer said Friday on a conference call.
